Spot timeline just got more interactive! Now timeline allows you to view any clip snapshot by hovering your mouse. Or scroll your mouse slowly over the timeline to get a quick, timelapse view of the video.
Enlarged Hover Tile
Simply place your cursor over the timeline and an enlarged hover tile image will appear. As you move your mouse along the timeline, the hover tile image will actively reflect the footage. So you can easily see details and readily identify events in a quick, seamless manner. No need to scroll and review clip segments, if you don't want to. But don't worry, we left those for you to enjoy as well so that you can quickly filter and review footage just as before-- only with even more efficiency.
By adding a hover tile to clip segments, you can not only have a refined breakdown of footage, but you can hone in on details quickly without needing to click and watch every segment.
Customizable Clip Duration
Spot is always trying to make software easier. Earlier, you had to drag the video clip to the exact time duration you wanted. Dragging to the precise section or moment can be cumbersome. That's why we've allowed you to easily set the duration of your video clips. Choose from 1, 2, 5, 10, 30 minutes, or your own custom time frame. Simply click the clip duration above the timeline, a drop-down will appear, and you can select your desired clip duration.
The selected clip duration will determine the duration of the clip segments below. To change the duration of the clip segments, simply select another clip duration from the drop-down.
Flexible Date Selection
We updated the date and time selection, so now you can pick and choose your start first OR your choose end date first.
Just click on the start date or end date and the calendar will appear, simply select the desired start date OR the desired end date first. The interface will alert you if you accidentally selected an end date that is before your start date, it will alert you of this incorrect combination.
Bonus: Power User Features
We've added power user functionalities that allow you hardly lift a finger, especially to click a mouse.
1. Pause and Play: Want to pause the video? Simply hit the space bar and the video will stop playing.
2. Jump ahead and back: Jump ahead 10 seconds or go back 10 seconds? Simply hit the left arrow to jump back 10 seconds or the right arrow to jump forward 10 seconds in playing the footage.
3. Speed up video or slow it down: hit the up arrow to speed up the footage (by 1x increments, up to 4x the original speed) or the down arrow to slow the footage down to half speed.
4. Digital Zoom: Hover your cursor over the timeline and press ctrl/cmd+scroll to zoom on the timeline to decrease the time frame of footage above. This allows you to hone in on a specific moment to find the action you want quickly with the use of the overlay image.
