Timeline coupled with motion search is an extremely powerful tool that can help you visualize when motion occurred in your camera. Let's take a look at how it works. First, start off in your view page. Click on the camera that you're interested in and underneath the video, you will see the timeline.
To turn on Motion filter, scroll down a little bit more and you should see the toggle for Motion filter right below that. Click on the toggle to turn it on.
Next, get off live view by clicking on any of Search by Segment clips. if there was motion detected in the camera in the clip, you should see blue lines populate the timeline .
You can click and drag the green brackets to shorten or expand the length of the clip. Go to another part of the timeline with motion by clicking and dragging the whole section to another part like so.
You can also Share, Save, and Download video footage from here as well. With the green brackets, chose the length of the footage you want. Then, simply click on any of the buttons in the blue section beneath it.
Congratulations, you've learned how to use timeline with motion search on Spot! 🙌
