Enabling and disabling License Plate Recognition (LPR) and Forklift Detection has never been easier. With the Spot Dashboard, you can now bulk edit both features.
For information on how to bulk edit audio, please see this article.
Step 1: Choose Cameras
From the Spot Dashboard, click Maintain along the top menu bar, use the multi-select checkboxes on the left-hand side to select the cameras you need to bulk edit. You can change the settings for multiple cameras at the same or across multiple sites at once.
Step 2: Enable or Disable Features
Once the cameras are selected, on the right-hand side of the screen you’ll see the two features: LPR and Forklift Detection. You can Enable All or Disable All to suit your needs. Once you’ve chosen, click Apply on the bottom right of the screen.
Note: If you enable LPR, you’ll be prompted to complete the LPR wizard. This wizard helps ensure your cameras are set up to successfully capture license plates. The necessary camera settings are also available here.
Search Enhancements
You can now search by these AI features as well. On the Maintain page, below your appliance tab, you’ll see a dropdown for AI Features. When selected, you’re able to select only cameras that have Forklift Detection or LPR enabled or disabled.
Limitations
While Forklift Detection is available on both the Core and Pro license packages, LPR is only available on the Pro package. More information on the packages is available here. Also, only three LPR cameras can be used per appliance regardless of IVR mode. If you try to enable LPR on more than three cameras, you’ll see an error message like the one below.
